Cruises on catamarans typically cost around the same as a cruise on a regular cruise ship. The advantages to these types of cruises, however, is a considerably smaller number of people. Many times a group of people can charter the entire ship for a number of days. This is extremely popular with families, friends, and other people who want to only spend time around people they know. These cruises also typically offer stops at different ports and activities while on board the ship. This is the reason why more people each year choose to charter catamarans than in the past.
